This weekend, looking to build on an already impressive campaign, Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa are gearing up to take on one of the greatest and officially longest circuits on the Formula 1 calendar, Spa Francorchamps.
Ahead of the race, Williams MARTINI Racing drivers Massa and Bottas talk about their fondness of the Spa Francorchamps and the beauty of its location. Both drivers go on to elaborate on their favourite places to visit when they’re in the area and the unique anatomy of the track, including one of the most infamous corners in Formula 1 history, the Eau Rouge.
The length of the track poses some challenges as the weather is notoriously changeable. It can often be simultaneously raining on one part of the track and dry on another. At one stage in its history, it has rained at the Belgian GP for twenty years consecutively. Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas are hoping to replicate their form from last season which saw Bottas achieve a podium finish.
The Belgian Grand Prix takes place on the 22nd – 23rd August.
