MARTINI Fiero and Laura Jackson Collaborate to Create New Aperitivo Menu at Radio Alice

Iconic drinks brand MARTINI has partnered with TV presenter and supper-club hostess, Laura Jackson to curate a bespoke Aperitivo menu in collaboration with Hoxton’s renowned pizzeria, Radio Alice.

London, UK, 9th October 2019 - Iconic drinks brand MARTINI has partnered with TV presenter and supper-club hostess, Laura Jackson to curate a bespoke Aperitivo menu in collaboration with Hoxton’s renowned pizzeria, Radio Alice. The lifestyle influencer and broadcaster will host an exclusive event on Wednesday 23rd October to launch the new Aperitivo menu created to complement MARTINI Fiero, the latest innovation by the Italian drinks brand. The new Aperitivo menu has been crafted to accompany the bittersweet orange flavour of MARTINI Fiero which is enjoyed with tonic in the simplest of 50/50 serves over ice, with a blood orange garnish.

At the launch event, guests will learn more about the menu from Laura Jackson and will be the first to try the exclusive Aperitivo menu, as well as learn how to craft the perfect MARTINI Fiero & Tonic that pairs perfectly with each of the dishes.

This limited-edition menu will be available from the 24th October until the 20th November 2019 at Radio Alice Hoxton, a space where friends can unwind and enjoy Aperitivo moments throughout Autumn.

The menu includes:

Pizzetta with four cheeses; gorgonzola, mozzarella, parmigiana and smoked cheddar, served with figs drizzled with Acacia honey.

The aromatic bitter notes used in MARTINI Fiero sit happily alongside the delicate aroma of the fig and prominent sweetness of the honey, which play well together in the palette to create a perfectly balanced fusion of flavours.

Sourdough bruschetta with creamy burrata, anchovies from the Amalfi coast and grated orange zest.

Sweet and savoury become a winning combination as the salty anchovies and orange zest perfectly complement the citrusy notes used to create MARTINI Fiero.

Cheese fondue made with nutty Taleggio and gorgonzola accompanied by crisp, herbed grissini for dipping.

The refreshing spritz of a MARTINI Fiero & Tonic perfectly cuts through the combination of rich flavours found in the fondue.

Baked Tuscan salami paired with goat's cheese.

A classic Italian antipasti with spiced Tuscan salami and tart goats cheese, perfectly harmonise the vibrant and bold notes of Fiero - the perfect Aperitivo match.

Pizzetta topped with garlic baked portobello mushrooms and mozzarella, finished with a drizzle of Truffle Oil.

Mushroom season has begun, and these are the perfect autumnal ingredient, the earthiness of Portobello mushrooms pairs with the more tart elements of MARTINI Fiero providing a wonderfully clean finish.

Laura Jackson said: “The chefs at Radio Alice and I have worked together to create something that is authentic to the rich essence of Italian flavours. MARTINI has always been a staple in my drinks’ cabinet; I am a firm believer in ‘aperitif time’ and I love a good spritz. It’s been exciting to work with the new flavours of MARTINI Fiero and I’ve loved creating my own bespoke Aperitivo menu. Hosting (Hosteing…) is my favourite thing to do – there is nothing like unwinding with friends over small bites and a delicious drink – so I can’t wait for people to try the new dishes.”

The launch evening is from 6:30pm – 8pm on Wednesday 23rd October. Tickets are available to purchase here for £25. The ticket includes all dishes and three MARTINI Fiero & Tonics per person.

NOTES TO EDITORS

About MARTINI Fiero

MARTINI Fiero (14.9% ABV) is made with a blend of white wines and carefully sourced botanicals including sweet Spanish oranges grown in Murcia, which are hand peeled and dried under the sun in a laborious traditional method that protects the essential oils in the peel.

While the orange peel provides the vermouth’s vibrant citrus notes, Artemisia absinthium and Artemisia pontica – which are both harvested in the village of Pancallieri in Turin – contribute the signature bitterness and herbal aromatics that are the distinguishing characteristic of Italian aperitivo drinks. The result is the distinctive bittersweet orange flavour of MARTINI Fiero.

MARTINI Fiero can be ordered at bars across the UK, including top locations like Sea Containers, The London Cocktail Club, Rosewood and The Goat in London, as well as at selected Greene King and Stonegate outlets nationwide.

MARTINI Fiero (RRP £12) is available now at Sainsbury’s, Ocado and ASDA, and at Waitrose from 23rd May onwards.

Wanting pizza that was good, and made and served with care, the first Berberè pizzeria opened in Bologna in 2010. Many years later along with their friend Emma King, Radio Alice Pizzeria opened in Hoxton Square, followed by Clapham Common and Canary Wharf in July 2019.  Sliced to share, Radio Alice’s signature sourdough pizza is made fresh everyday; using organic stoneground flour, sourdough starter, time (24 hours), and topped with seasonal ingredients.
